No mind: Your true nature.
There is this term that has been adopted. This term is "mindfulness". It is a misleading term as it assumes that if a person is present, their mind is full. This is not true. When there is presence and present moment thinking, the mind is empty and awareness is above the lower level of incessant thinking.
Thinking continuously is a disease. The most common disease on the planet. Endless thinking that never seems to end.
In January 2024 I experienced a being in the present moment for about 13 hours or so. Any thoughts that were alive were very quiet and were that of curiosity and I was immersed in presence and being.
My nervous system was completely relaxed, which I had never experienced in my life up to that point, perhaps aside from intense meditation. This being immersed in presence happened after a conversation about the nature of love with a buddy of mine. I asked him if he would mind if we both stopped talking for about a minute and I fell into the presence that I AM. It is my true nature - connected with all that is, out of time. Time is an illusion andyways. If we are in the present moment there is no time.
Most of this 13 hours was an experience of no thinking, though sometimes soft thoughts of curiosity would arise such as, "Why do they smile at me so much?" "That baby is so cute." and "The talking in this place has reduced in volume."
Byron Katie has said, "There is no belief that is true." This world of agreement that we appear to live in, is the sum total of our beliefs. Our beliefs are trhe filter through which we perceive life. Life could be considered synonymous with thinking. However real life happens without thinking. Our heart beats without our effort. Our lungs breathe without our effort. Our being/spirit/true essence exists without any effort. And is wholly valuable, despite what we do or do not do.
In stillness you will know who/what you really are. How do you get to stillness? How might you get to stillness?
